So I downloaded and created a home video using the trial version. At first I had problems with it crashing while playing my AVCHD camera videos on my Windows Vista, QuadCore CPU 2.4GHz PC. However, after I updated the drivers to my Intel G33/G31 graphics chipset, it ran great. I'm very new to video editing software, but once I figure out a few things I made a very professional looking video, with transitions, title/text overlays, etc. The DVD publishing/authoring software is extremely impressive. I had to setup just a few items and it did the rest with a very impressive dynamic DVD menu template. I tested another very popular video editor, but had terrible stability issues creating DVDs. This video editor also seems a little more advanced than the other one I tried. After trying both video editors I'm going with this one.
