If you prefer sharing your video projects on a disc you will be happy to know that Premiere Elements 8 comes with several disc creation options including menu templates, menu customization, chapter separation and audio tracks for the menu screen. It does not currently have a multi-level menu option, but we hope this tool will be added in a future update.
Premiere Elements 8 is also the only one of our top three contenders to offer Blu-ray disc authoring; assuming you have the necessary hardware (Blu-ray disc burner). It can also burn single and dual layer DVDs, AVCHD discs and video CDs.
Premiere Elements 8 offers several automated options that allow you to balance audio elements in your videos. The SmartSound® Quicktracks® plug-in is included with this release and lets you choose a soundtrack to import into your video. This tool then customizes the length of the track to correspond with the length of your movie.
Track mixing, trimming, cross-fading and even 5.1 surround sound support are also available using this video editing software solution.
Premiere Elements 8 is supported in 32-bit Windows XP and Windows Vista environments. It is also Windows 7 compatible.
Support for this product can be found in a wide variety of places from telephone and email support, online video tutorials and user moderated forums. If you have a question about using this program there are several places to seek an answer.
